SONIC THE HEDGEHOG is speeding to theatres for a big-screen adventure for the whole family! Paramount Pictures has shared with Comic Phanatic the new and improved official trailer for the movie. Earlier this year the trailer was released and met with a huge backlash from fans that had the studio race faster than Sonic himself to redo the CGI design of the titular character. After some much-needed improvements, Paramount's latest trailer proves the old saying "You never get a second chance to make a good first impression" wrong, as it seems to have changed fans' minds on the live-action adaptation. Based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG tells the story of the world’s speediest hedgehog as he embraces his new home on Earth. In this live-action adventure comedy, Sonic and his new best friend Tom team up to defend the planet from the evil genius Dr. Robotnik and his plans for world domination.
SONIC THE HEDGEHOG opens on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2019. The family-friendly film is directed by Jeff Fowler and stars Ben Schwartz as Sonic, Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik, and James Marsden as Tom, with Tika Sumpter, Neal McDonald, Adam Pally, and Natasha Rothwell.
