Black Widow Confronts Her Past In First Trailer!

Marvel has dropped the first official trailer for BLACK WIDOW, the long-anticipated solo movie starring Scarlet Johanson reprising the role of Natasha Romanoff. The film takes place within the two-year gap between Captain America: Civil War and the first Avengers films, and focuses on assassin turned S.H.I.E.L.D. agent turned Avenger confronting her past.



The trailer introduces other members of the Black Widow Program Yelena Belova (the second Black Widow in the comics), Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian and Melina. The trailer also gives us the first look at Taskmaster in his first appearance in the MCU. BLACK WIDOW marks the first movie in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel Studios' BLACK WIDOW is directed by Cate Shortland, from a script by Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson. BLACK WIDOW stars Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/The Red Guardian and Rachel Weisz as Melina. The film opens in theaters on May 1, 2020.
