Star Trek made their presence known at New York Comic Con 2019 in a big way with all weapons ready, and boy did they bring the big guns with the second trailer for Star Trek Picard at the Star Trek Universe Panel. It was announced that the highly anticipated series will premiere onCBS All Accessin the U.S. on Thursday, January 23, 2020. Following the premiere, new episodes of Star Trek: Picard's 10-episode first season will be available weekly every Thursday, exclusively for CBS All Access subscribers in the U.S, and weekly on Fridays for international viewers via Amazon Prime.
The series focuses around fan-favorite Captain Jean-Luc Picard but it was announced during SDCC that other familiar faces will return as well. They include Brent Spiner (Data), Jonathan Frakes (Riker), Marina Sirtis (Troi), Jeri Ryan (Seven Of Nine) and Jonathan Del Arco (Hugh).
The panel also announced the release schedule of this year's Short Trek's along with the announcement that the first one "Q & A" is up on CBS All Access now.
